That's pronounced "eye-oh-dee-gee" "a-woah-shi-ka" or Ayo "eye-oh" for short.
I'm the author of two books:

You 2.0 - Stop Feeling Stuck, Reinvent Yourself, and Become A Brand New You
My work has been read by hundreds of thousands of people and been featured on top publications like Business Insider, The Huffington Post, and Thrive Global.
I've spoken in front of 1,000+ people:
In the span of a few years, I discovered a passion for writing, built a side business around my passion, tripled my income, and created a brand new life for myself instead of feeling stuck and lost.
I say none of this to brag. I wanted to paint a picture of my current life to help you understand just how much I've changed. I want to show you both sides of my life to prove you can change too.
How I Killed my Former Self...the One I Couldn't Stand to See in the Mirror (and How You Can Too)
Three years ago I was a college dropout. I lived in a 10' x 10' dorm room at the age of 24 because it was the only place I could afford. I worked at an electronics factory for 12 hours a day. When I wasn't at work, I was either getting incredibly stoned, wasted off my ass, or a combination of the two.
The irony of it all?
I was the kid with "potential."
The type who skated through school with no effort because he was "gifted." The one everybody knew was going to be a successful lawyer, engineer, or doctor one day. The one every teacher and parent would tell "If you just applied yourself, you'd be a massive success." Applied myself I did not. Instead I avoided anything requiring effort, because if I failed, my "smart kid" image would shatter. Trying meant not having the skills to do it in the first place, so I settled for feeling like I had potential but ultimately doing nothing.
If underachieving wasn't enough, I got into tons of trouble. I can count the drugs I haven't tried on one hand. I've been to jail before (albeit for just a few days). I spent $70,000 in students loans on a degree I never finished.
Long story short, I threw my future in the trash.
There I was -- at an age where I should've had the whole world ahead of me -- with no plans, no future, and no hope.
How'd I change? How'd I find the motivation to transform my life after being an unmotivated loser?

The Counter Intuitive Secret to Changing Your Life
Wanna know what doesn't work when it comes to changing your life?
Wishing things were different...
Rationalizing your situation...
Replaying the things you could've and should've done...
Why, then, are these our go to remedies? Because they're more comfortable than saying "This is where I am right now. This is where I have to start."
I never changed a damn thing until I first surrendered to my current reality.
I looked at my life bluntly. I realized dramatic action was needed to change things. I did everything I could to stay in the present moment, learn, and study ways to change my life.
In the span of a year from hitting my lowest of lows and looking for an out, I read 75 books, I watched interviews of successful people constantly, I only allowed positivity, wisdom, and knowledge into my life.
During that same time frame, a friend of mine asked me to write articles for a new website he launched. I wrote my first post and I haven't stopped since. The combination of being prepared for an opportunity and seizing it lead to where I am today, but it started with acceptance.
What about you?
Is there something you want to change in your life -- your job, your attitude, your circumstances?
You can do all the above, but not until you start where you are -- rooted in reality and ready to face it honestly.
That's what I'm here to help you do.
What This Website Is and Isn't
First, let's start with what this website isn't.
This isn't the place to find run of the mill life-hacks, success tips, and quotes to make you feel fuzzy inside.
I love motivating and inspiring people, but I'm not one to act like life isn't without its struggles. I'm not going to provide you "ten steps to getting rich" because no such clear-cut steps exist. I'm not going to pretend like personal transformation is easy -- it's one of the most difficult processes you can go through.
Above and beyond everything else, I'm not going to bullshit you.
Everything I write comes from personal experience. I encourage you to take what works for you and discard what doesn't. I don't want to tell you how to live your life. I want to help you discover how you want to live your life.
See, since you were born, people have been trying to tell you how you're supposed to life. You're supposed to get a good job, buy a house, have 2 and a half kids, play it safe, work 9 to 5 Monday through Friday, have a barbecue on Saturday, go to church and watch some football on Sunday, and repeat this process until you die.
There's more than one way to live. In fact, there's thousands of ways to live.
I want my writing to be the scalpel that digs the societal narrative from the recesses of your brain. I want to replace that narrative with one you and I create together.
Are you down to give this whole personal development thing a shot? A real shot?
